Returns Policy

HKS USA INC. RETURNS POLICY

HKS U.S.A., Inc. CAN PROCESS RETURNS AND REFUNDS ONLY FOR ITEMS PURCHASED FROM www.hksusa.com and byhks.com.

  Within 15 days of receipt of your shipment (including gifts), you may return any of the following items to hksusa.com. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. (we will waive the restocking fee and refund the shipping cost if the return is a result of our error):

  • Unwashed, unworn, or defective apparel.
  • BMW and Lotus products must be new, un-used and returned in re-sellable factory packaging. HKS will not accept any returns if the item is not in re-sellable condition, missing the factory packaging, used, damaged or missing parts.
  • Any of the following categories of products that are unopened (still in its unopened, factory sealed package). If the item has been opened, it can only be exchanged for an identical item:
    • spark plugs
    • meters and gauges
    • Radio Controlled models,
    • scale models
    • Selected accessories – see Special Exceptions.

Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from hksusa.com and byhks.com. (See below for policies regarding items purchased from our Authorized HKS Dealers.) We cannot exchange items unless they are defective or damaged. We cannot accept returned items after 15 days. Items that are returned more than 15 days after delivery that are in un-saleable condition, or are missing parts will be charged a restocking fee at our discretion.

Special Exceptions

The following items CANNOT be returned for any reason and are noted as such in our catalogue when you place them for your Shopping Cart. You must agree to the Special Exception before the product is included in your Shopping Cart.

·         Light Bulbs - For safety reasons, we are unable to accept returns of light bulbs, and you cannot receive refunds for such items.

·         Catalogues – we are unable to accept returns of HKS USA Inc. Product catalogues, and you cannot receive refunds for such items.

·         DVD/CDs – we are unable to accept returns of opened DVDs or CDs, and you cannot receive refunds for such items.

  Claims

Claims for defective Goods, shortages, delays, or failures in shipment or delivery, or for any other cause shall be deemed waived and released by Buyer, unless made in writing with two (2) working days of Buyer’s receipt of the Goods.

Returning Items Purchased from Authorized HKS Dealers

HKSUSA.com and Byhks.com cannot accept returns of items purchased from Authorized HKS Dealers. Instead, you must contact the Authorized HKS Dealer from which you purchased the item to determine the Dealer’s return policy (which may be different than hksusa.com and byhks.com).

Exchanges of Damaged or Defective Items

HKSUSA.com and Byhks.com can exchange items only if they are defective or damaged. Limitations apply to HKS Lotus, BMW, Circle Earth, and Meter products and accessories. Please see HKS’ limited warranty page for more information. HKS Warranty Policy      

Refunds

HKSUSA.com will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 7 to 14 business days of our receiving your return. If your return is not due to our error, we will deduct the shipping costs from your refund as well as a restocking fee.

Packing and Sending Your Return

Please follow these simple steps to speed your return

1.     Pack the item(s) along with the packing slip (receipt) securely in a box. Be sure you have included ALL original packaging, accessories, instruction manuals and material that are part of the item being returned. We will check the contents of all returned packages to ensure that you receive the correct item in exchange for the product you wish to return. You can use the box the item(s) arrived in or another box, if you prefer.

2.     All Lotus and BMW products MUST have Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number issued through the Authorized HKS Dealer or through HKS (if the product was purchased through www.hksusa.com or byhks.com). 

3.      Address the outside of the box as follows:

4.      Place the correct postage on the package and mail to HKS USA Inc. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR RETURN ADDRESS ON THE PACKAGE.

Lost Packing Slip

If you ordered the item yourself, you can still return it by first contacting us at hksoutlet@hksusa.com. If the item was given to you as a gift, and you don't have the packing slip or the order number, enclose a separate sheet of paper noting the name and e-mail address of the person who purchased the gift, along with the reason for your return, and send the package to the appropriate address below:

Promotional Coupon, Code or Certificate

If you paid for all or part of an item you want to return with a promotional coupon, code or certificate, that part of your refund will be credited to your account, available to use the next time you place an order at hksusa.com. Please note, however, that promotional credit may be refunded and reused only if the promotion has not yet expired.
